How soon can Pro-Care arrive?
Pro-Care can arrive within 2 hours or less in most cases.

How long will it take to dry my property?
Normally we dry your structure in 3-5 days.

Why is time essential with water damage?
Mold can start to form in as little as 48 hours.  Also the water migrates further causing secondary damage.

What is the first step once Pro-Care arrives?
We will ask you a few important questions and then thoroughly inspect the affected areas.

Should I remain in my home?
In most cases it is safe to stay in your home.  If Pro-Care feels there is chance of any harm to your family and pets, you will be advised to leave until your indoor environment is safe to return.

What should I do with the machines left at my home?
Our technicians will advise you.  Normally they are to run 24/7.  We will monitor the drying process daily, regularly giving you updates on the progress.

  • Contact Pro-Care and your insurance agent promptly.
  • If possible, locate and stop the source of water. Be careful, floors will be slippery.
  • Remove as much excess water as possible by mopping and blotting.
  • Take pictures and document with notes.
  • Remove as much furniture, art, valuables, etc. as possible to safe, dry locations.
  • Place wood blocks, plastic wrap or aluminum foil under furniture legs to prevent staining of carpet from casters, metal pads, etc.
  • Remove oriental rugs or other “throws” from on top of wet wall-to-wall carpeting.
  • Avoid electrical shock. Do not use appliances while on wet carpets or floors, especially concrete floors.
